ALAPPUZHA: Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS) vice-chancellor Dr B Madhusoodana Kurup inaugurated the national seminar ‘Recent advancement in Mariculture and its possibilities in Kerala coast’ at St Joseph’s college for Women, Alappuzha.
The seminar was organised in collaboration with the University Grants Commission, Malsyafed and the Alleppey Diocesan Society. CMFRI principal scientist Shoji Joseph, Fisheries Deputy Director C P Anirudhan, Dr S Sindhu, CMFRI senior scientist Dr Sujith Thomas, and Dr K G Padmakumar conducted classes.
K C Venugopal MP inaugurated the valedictory function. College manager Sister Philo Puthenpura presided over the function. Principal Sr Janat Augustine and Zoology department head Rose Michael spoke.
