KOCHI: Who doesn’t like to gorge on biriyani? Be it Malabari, Thalassery, Hyderabadi, or Awadhi, the mention of the name often brings to the mind mouth-watering images.

Cheenavala, the multi-cuisine restaurant at Hotel Yuvarani Residency at M G Road has arranged a biriyani festival where you can feast on varieties of specialty biriyani with your friends and family during monsoon outings.

Besides popular delicacies from North Kerala like the Thalasserry or the Malabari mutton biriyani you can also find the Nadan Kappa biriyani and Kuttanadan/Alleppey biriyani. The very popular Hyderabadi egg biriyani is another sought after one. The Karachi and Kothu porotta Biriyani are two featured biriyani specialty served here as a very special item in this festival. Karachi Biriyani another item served with fried chicken leg in light masala and flavoured rice. These are some of the sample picks from the chef’s festival menu.

Vegetarians are not without choice here either. A lot of vegetarian choice such as paneer biriyani, mushroom biriyani and Gopi 65 biriyani etc are among a few from the veggie choice. The accompaniments include special pineapple pickle and other usual items. “Biriyani Chaya” is served absolutely free with orders.  A family package offer is available for ` 590 + taxes, ie 4 persons (2 Adults +2 Children)
