Act against terrorism: Archbishop to all religions

KOCHI: ArchbishoP Soosa Pakiam of the Thiruvananthapuram diocese of the Latin Church  on Sunday called on all religions to adopt stringent measures to combat terrorist activities, in the wake of reports stating that the Keralites who went missing in the Middle East had joined terrorist outfit Islamic State(IS).  “All religions should take a tough stand against terrorism. I don’t think any of the religions supports subversive activities, which are actually the handiwork of a small section of people,” he said, while addressing mediapersons on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the three-day Kerala Region Latin Catholic Council (KRLCC) general assembly here.  He said it was from media reports that he came to know about members of the Christian community joining the IS. after being converted into Islam.
