KOCHI: The Kochi City Police on Friday arrested a Pandalam-native on charges of creating a bogus Facebook account in the name of actor Kavya Madhavan, and posting explicit photographs on it.
Aravind Babu was arrested by the Special Branch of the City Police from Pandalam and was brought to Kochi, based on a complaint filed by the actor before City Police Commissioner M P Dinesh. The fake account was traced with the assistance of the Cyber Cell, and the accused was identified.
According to the police, there are 12 more fake Facebook accounts in the name of Kayva Madhavan, which is being probed.
Aravind Babu was produced before the court, and was remanded.
