KOCHI: The digitisation of permits and time schedule of private buses in the district will be completed before the end of this month. As part of the initiative, the Ernakulam RTO has given direction to all operators to complete the procedures without delay.
C-DAC is carrying out the digitisation of bus permits and bus routes across the state. As part of the drive, the RTO office has asked all the bus owners to file three self-attested copies of permits and schedules before August 31. Following the submission of these documents, the office will issue fresh documents related to the digitisation procedure.
The state government recently decided to complete the digitisation of the Motor Vehicles Department. Once the proceedings are complete, the permit renewal and details of buses will be available online. This will help officers speed up issuing permits and keep track of buses plying without one.
