KOCHI: Ujjivan Small Finance Bank (USFB) Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ujjivan Financial Services Ltd, has launched operations in Kochi with two branches, one each at Ernakulam North and Palluruthy. K V Thomas MP inaugurated the branches the other day.The bank promises unlimited access to customers on ATM transactions done using the bank's ATMs and six free transactions to its customers using ATMs of other banks. It also offers remittance services enabling customers to transfer money within Ujjivan SFB and other bank accounts at an affordable rate.

told reporters the bank was striving to make banking more seamless and accessible to customers and so, invested significantly on technology and digitisation.“We allow customers to open savings accounts with no charges on minimum balance. We are also providing benefits like doorstep banking, mobile, internet and phone banking, access to biometric ATMs and Aadhaar-enabled debit cards.-enabled KYC facilitates in opening accounts in approximately 5-7 minutes using biometric authentication on a hand-held device.
The device can also be used for cash deposits, withdrawals and fund transfers at the customer’s doorstep,” Davis said. In all, it has 87 branches in states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Pondicherry, Gujarat, Maharashtra, New Delhi, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab and Haryana.
