Sterling show by Kochi schools in CBSE Class X exams

 The CBSE schools here put on a splendid show in the CBSE Class X Exam, results of which were declared on Saturday.

KOCHI:  The CBSE schools here put on a splendid show in the CBSE Class X Exam, results of which were declared on Saturday. Almost all the schools in and around the city registered all pass, with a sizeable number of the students notching up A1 grade for all subjects.

Some of the prominent schools which registered 100 per cent pass are Cochin Refineries School(110/110,26 A1); Al- Ameen Public School, Edappally (220/220)142 A1); The Delta Study, Fort Kochi (65/65, seven A1); Campion school,Edappally (120/120, 25A1); Marthoma Public School, Kakkanad,( 89/89, 10A1); 50 distinction, and 25 first class);Saraswathi Vidyanikethan Public school, Elamakkara (94/94, 12A1,50 distinctions, 32 first class); Rajagiri Public School, Kalamassery (158/158,46A1); Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Tripunithura (147/147,45 A1) and Assissi Vidyaniketan Public School, Kakkanad(176/176, 41 A1, 129 distinction first class).

According to the Kerala CBSE School Managements’ Association president T P M Ibrahim Khan, “If the results can be announced a tad earlier, it will be beneficial for students who wish to pursue studies in government schools. Khan said students from the CBSE stream performed better at the HSE level.

‘Choiceans’ stand tall
The Choice School, Tripunithura which presented 175 students for the CBSE Class X Exam registered 100 per cent pass with 51 of them securing A1 grade for all subjects. As many as 154 students won distinction while 21 won first class. Fifty-one students scored Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of
10, while 60 scored CGPA of 9-9.8; 43 scored CGPA of 8-8.8 and 21 scored CGPA of 7-7.8.
