KOCHI: Janachitra Film Society will be organising 11th International Film Festival on June 10 and 11 at Jeevas Kendram, Aluva in association with the Federation of Film Societies of India and Kerala Film Academy. Classic films which are selected from other international film festivals will be showcased during the fest.
Polish film and theater director Andrzej Wajda’s film ‘Afterimage’, Indian film ‘Parched’ and the Malayalam movie ‘Kaadu Pookunna Neram’ are the movies which will be screened at the festival.
‘I Daniel Blake’(UK Film) directed by Ken Loach will be the inaugural film.
The movie tells how one man can make a great impact. and A self reliant Daniel stands up and fights for his dignity. Japanese film ‘After the Storm’, US film ‘Moon Light’, ‘Goodbye Berlin’ by German director Fatih Akin and the Egyptian film ‘Clash’ are the other films that will be screened on Saturday.
