KOCHI: Two persons, including a film producer, suffered serious injuries in a brawl at a bar in the city on Tuesday.
According to the police, producer Maha Subair and another person suffered injuries after being beaten up with beer bottles by a group of youths. The clash occurred when the gang entered into a verbal duel with the film crew around 10 pm.
Badushah, production executive of Subair’s latest film, said Subair was admitted to Medical Trust Hospital.
“When we came out of our room, we saw a group attacking the security guard of the hotel. Later, the youths attacked us without any provocation, and Subair got involved," he said.
Subair is the producer of ‘Salaam Kashmir’ and ‘Christian Brothers.’
A team led by the Ernakulam North SI has launched a search for the attackers.
