KOCHI:A 29-year-old habitual offender was arrested under the Kerala Anti-social Activities Prevention Act (KAAPA) in Kothamangalam on Tuesday. Anvar, Thekkeputhenpurayil Veettil, Mulavoor, has been placed under preventive detention as per the directive of the District Collector based on the report of the Ernakulam Rural SP.
Anvar had been allegedly involved in various crimes, including murder and attempts to murder. He was later sent to the Viyyur Central Jail. “As part of the crack down on gangsters, stringent action will be initiated against them,” said Rural SP Rahul R Nair.
