Art teachers’ camp under way at Kochi

'Teach Art Kochi', the fifth edition of the three-day art camp of art teachers of unaided schools in the state, began at Changampuzha Park in Edappally, Kochi.

KOCHI: Enjoying the cool breeze under the shade of trees sat many with their canvases erected in front of them. This was the sight Changampuzha Park in Kochi gave away to its passersby on Saturday.
‘Teach Art Kochi’, the fifth edition of the three-day art camp of art teachers of unaided schools in the state, began at Changampuzha Park in Edappally, Kochi.

Kollam-native Aswathy’s portrayal of humans wearing masks, the painting showing a mother’s pain by Ramanan from Munnar, ‘Nottam’ by Sandeep from Thrissur and Subhash’ knife paintings were the popular artworks. Manoj Brahmamangalam’s ‘Nature and Man’ painting also stood apart from the others.
Special classes for children and the art teachers in the morning. The camp will conclude on Monday. National award winner K R Kumaran was also honoured.
