KOCHI: The meeting of the District Development Committee (DDC) here underscored the need to set up fever clinics accessible to the public in the wake of the growing number of fever cases following the monsoon’s onset. Muvattupuzha MLA Eldho Abraham mooted this at the meeting. “To ensure access to medical care for all sections,  the Taluk hospitals and General Hospital should be well equipped,” he said.  

“ The trees posing a threat to the public should be felled. The district authorities should assist in the efforts to  find Saraswathi, a homemaker who plunged into a canal while washing clothes. meanwhile. Apart from this, the steps to make Mulavoor village into a smart village should be fast-tracked. While implementing the smart classroom facillities in the district, alternative arrangements should be made for the classes to be held without any disruption,” the MLA said.

Thrikkakkara MLA P T Thomas asked the Health Department to ensure  the wells and toilets of the hotels  are kept clean. Besides, the wells should be chlorinated.  Kunnathunad MLA V P Sajeendran asked the KSEB to submit a report on the construction of the KSEB office in Manjappetty.
