KOLKATA: A top official at the city-based National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (NICED) has tested positive for COVID-19, a health department source said on Tuesday.
The official, who had complained of uneasiness on Friday, was asked to undergo home isolation, he said.
"The NICED official was running a temperature and complained of cough and cold. He was advised to undergo home isolation. His test results showed that he has contracted the disease," the source said.
