THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: For the first time, the history of renaissance movement and the revolutionary movement in Kerala will be made into a tele-serial.
Addressing a news conference here on Thursday, O.N.V.Kurup and director Anil.V.N. said that the serial titled `Vasanthathinte Kanalvazhikalil’ being produced in a docu-fiction style would be featuring the evolution of the Communist movement.
The agitations such as Morazha, Kayyur, Karivalloor, Kavumpayi, Punnapra-Vayalar and Sooranad that had left an imprint in the annals of history will be featured in the serial.
CPM state secretary Pinaryai Vijayan will switch on the camera for the serial in the first week of May. The serial will be telecast on all Tuesdays from May 26 from 6 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. in the Kairali TV. Lyrics by ONV, P.Bhaskaran, Bitchu Thirumala, Kaithapram, Prabhavarma and others will be included in the serial. Revolutionary songs sung by Jayachandran, M.G.Sreekumar, K.P.Brahmanandan, Unnimenon and others will also be included.
