THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It is going to be different festival for the film lovers in the city who witnessed the Oscar film festival recently and the International Film Festival of Kerala before that. Thirteen superhit Malayalam films by as many master directors can be viewed for eight days from Wednesday.

 The festival, at Priyadarsini Hall, Kottakkakom, is being organised by the Vayalar Ramavarma Samskarika Vedi.

 There would be only one show each on the opening and closing days. There would be two shows, at 9.30 am and 5.30 pm, on five days and an extra show would be held at 2.30 pm on  April 10.

 Minister for Culture K C Joseph would inaugurate the festival at 5 pm on Wednesday in a meeting presided over by Minister for Transport and Devaswom V S Sivakumar.  

‘Neelakkuyil’ (1954) directed by Ramu Kariatt and P Bhaskaran will be screened after the inaugural function.
