THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Fort Police have arrested a person for fleecing money and registration certificate from a youth after disguising as an agent of the Regional Transport Office. Vikraman Nair, 52, of Nettayam, was arrested for fleecing money and registration certificate from Manu of Pappanamcode on March 28.
According to the police, the youth came to the RTO to cancel the hypothecation in his registration certificate. The arrested disguising himself as an agent in the RTO here, at this juncture, approached the youth. He allegedly coerced the youth and said that direct transaction was not possible in the office. He then forcefully snatched money and registration certificate from the youth and escaped. The arrested was later remanded to prison.
