THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Protesting against the lethargy in works, the Karamana-Kaliyikkavila National Highway Action Council would stage a mass dharna in Neyyattinkara on April 29.
Gandhian P Gopinathan Nair would lead the dharna which will begin at Neyyattinkara bus stand at 4 p.m.
The Action Council has warned that the lethargy shown in NH widening works will have its impact on the Neyyattinkara bypolls. The decision was taken at a meeting convened by the Council on Saturday. According to Council members, the decision to widen the NH connecting Karamana and Kaliyikkavila was taken two years ago and the foundation-stone was laid almost one-and-half- years ago.
However, the govt is yet to acquire land for the works.
