VENJARAMOODU: A thirty-year-old woman died after the tapping knife which was kept in her waist band pierced into her body after she accidentally fell down in the rubber plantation.  Latha, a native of Kallara, Kuttimoodu, who was tapping rubber died after she slipped and fell on her stomach.  According to the police, the freak incident occurred in a rubber estate near Kallara in the early morning on Monday. Latha after completing the tapping of rubber plants of a platform was moving to the adjacent one when the accident occurred.

 While tapping she slipped and fell forward and the knife which was kept in her waist band pierced into the thigh. Hearing the commotion her husband Jayarajan who was also engaged in tapping at the far end of the estate rushed to her help and shifted her to a private hospital.  But her condition worsened and she died in the afternoon.
