THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command (SAC), Air Marshal S P Singh has emphasised the need for ensuring economy and achieving efficiency in the financial affairs of the SAC.
He was addressing a two-day annual conclave of senior accountant officers of SAC which concluded on Wednesday at Akkulam. The Air Marshal had inaugurated the conclave on Tuesday.
The Air Marshal reminded the accountant officers about the expensive assets placed under their care and asked them to live up to the faith entrusted upon them by the nation.
Air Vice Marshal G P Singh, Senior Officer-in-Charge Administration, SAC, delivered the keynote address at the conclave. Air Vice Marshal Mathew George, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Financial Planning), addressed the conclave on financial planning and budgetary management in the IAF.
Air Marshal J S Chauhan, Senior Air Staff Officer, SAC, and other senior officials from Air Headquarters and SAC were present at the conclave.
The conclave deliberated on the latest developments in the fields of accounting and financial management in the Air Force. An ad hoc Audit Committee meeting also was held on the second day of the conclave.
