THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan will inaugurate a seminar on disaster management on Thursday to be held as part of Santhigiri Fest 2012. At a function to be held in the evening, Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb will inaugurate the Santhigiri Education Expo, a cultural and knowledge fete to be attended by college and school students from across South India.  

Vice-Chancellor of National University for Advanced Legal Studies Dr N K Jayakumar will preside over the inaugural meeting.  ILDM Director Kesava Mohan will deliver the key-note address.   

The educational exhibition will feature science and medical exhibitions, interactive sessions with scientists, soft-skill training, a career guidance counseling by career guru B S Warrier, an environment seminar and various cultural programmes.   

Students from schools, colleges, educational institutions and educational agencies from South India can take part in competitions, including science-ecology quiz, painting, elocution (Malayalam), recitation, light music, group song and clay modeling.

Elocution (Malayalam), recitation, light music, group song and clay modeling competitions will be held in the first week of May.  Those who wish to take part may apply over phone or e-mail mentioning name, address, age, date of birth, school and the competitions.
