THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state-level anti-filariasis drive was launched by Health Minister V S Sivakumar by administering DEC Albendazole tablets to Mayor K Chandrika here on Thursday. K Muraleedharan MLA, presided over the function.
The Minister urged the people to co-operate with the government to realise the garbage management schemes in the state. He said that issues such as the one in Vilappilsala couldn’t be solved by using force but only by taking all sections of the people into confidence.
Health Director P K Jameela, additional director N Sreedhar and others participated.
