THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: LDF convener Vaikom Viswan has said that LDF would expose the UDF’s effort to influence the voters taking advantage of its position as the ruling front.
He told a news conference here that if the UDF continues to influence the voters by showering wanton promises as during the Piravom by-election, it would not be allowed.
He said during the by-election at Piravom, the Ministers had camped at Piravom and showered the voters with promises.
He said the LDF election convention would be held at Neyyattinkara on May 11. All booth level conventions would be completed by May 5. And panchayat-level conventions would conclude by May 9.
He expressed the hope that LDF would win with a massive majority.
He was confident that people would understand the conspiracy hatched under the leadership of Chief Minister to protect his government.
The power cut, hike in prices and the anti people stand of the government and large scale communalisation would be made election issues.
Answering a query he said LDF candidate could not be treated as a turncoat as in the case of R Selvaraj as the former had been staying with the LDF for the past 16 years.
