THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: ‘Santhwanasparsham’, a unique counselling centre by the cultural wing of Santhigiri Ashram functioning at the Santhigiri Fest, has people from all sections of society thronging its help desk seeking solace to a host of problems.
The services of the multi-disciplinary counselling centre, which would offer medical, psychological, legal and spiritual counselling would be free of charge.
The counselling centre, built like a thatched hut in a rural setting, has been organised by Vishwa Samskarika Navothdhana Kendram, the ashram’s cultural division. The centre aims to find simple yet scientific solutions to the many problems people face while trying to cope with modern hectic lifestyle, claims a release from the Ashram.
A panel comprising of social workers and professionals from disciplines like medicine, psychology and social work, will provide counselling to a host of problems including legal disputes, human rights violations, substance abuse, emotional problems, problems of children, marital problems and other social problems.
