Keltron, the catalyst for the development of electronics industry in the state, is on an ambitious mission to equip the cooperative banks with the core banking system to compete with the new generation banks.
Keltron will make available software, hardware, network and ATM machines through a single package. The employees of the bank will be imparted training on the core banking system.
When compared to the software of private companies, the price is less and there will not be any licensing problems. Free software technology is used by Keltron.
The core banking package is made available by Keltron with the support of UST Global, a Technopark-based company. This software can compete with any other software being used now by nationalised and private banks.
In this era when all private banks have core banking facilities, it is very difficult for cooperative banks to function with the traditional system. They are unable to afford the huge amount for the service by multinational companies and it is in this context that Keltron has decided to come up with the software.
