AABI Award presented to Technopark-TBI

Technopark-TBI, Thiruvananthapuram, was presented with the prestigious AABI (Asian Association of Business Incubation) International Award for the Best Incubator for the year 2012, at the AABI International Conference held at Seoul, South Korea, last week .

 The award was received by K C Chandrasekharan Nair, Managing Director, Technopark-TBI. The award was instituted by AABI to promote the development of incubators and give recognition with overall excellence in performance. P H Kurian, Principal Secretary- IT, Kerala also was present.

 The prestigious award was won only once by any Indian organisation so far - by Agri-Business Incubator of ICRISAT, Hyderabad, in 2008. AABI promotes business incubation activities by facilitating information exchanges among Asian incubators, incubator clients and related organisations. It comprises associations that organise incubation resources and facilities, organisations operating incubation programmes, and is located in Beijing (China), Shanghai(China), Hong Kong(China), Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.
