Department of Posts conducting letter-writing competition

The Department of Posts will conduct a letter writing competition on January 6 for school-going children from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The topic will be ‘write a letter about why water is precious’. Students up to the age of 15 as on March 31 can participate in the competition.

The composition must be presented in the form of a letter not exceeding 800 words in English or in any other language listed in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution of India.

In Kerala Circle the competition would be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode. Those who wish to participate may send their application in duplicate on a plain paper along with three passport size photographs.  

Both copies must have a passport size photograph of the candidate affixed on them. 

Third photograph should be enclosed with the application.Completed applications together with the certificate showing the age of the participant obtained from the school authorities may be sent to the Assistant Director (Mails), Office of the Chief Postmaster General, Kerala Circle, Thiruvananthapuram 695033; Postmaster General, Central Region, Kochi 682018; Postmaster General, Northern Region, Kozhikode 673011.

The applications should reach on or before December 26. Details are available with the Assistant Director of Chief PMG’S Office, Thiruvananthapuram.
