Doctors attached to the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) will stage a Secretariat dharna on Tuesday,under the leadership of the Kerala Government Insurance Medical Officer’s Association (KGIMOA), raising various demands.
The demands include merging special allowance with basic salary, to grant rural, PG allowances and to reinstate ESI allowance and the like. KGIMOA state president Dr V K Anil Kumar said here on Monday that the doctors affiliated to the organisation had been on a non-cooperative strike from Dec 1, as the govt turned a blind eye to their demands. “If there is no favourable response even after the dharna, the doctors would go in for a strong agitation,” office-bearers of KGMIOA said.
