Railway users' meeting held

A new Integrated Reservation System will be set up at the second entry in Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station and additional manpower will be provided at Pettah station for day-to-day work, said Rajesh Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM).He was answering queries of railway passengers at the 4th meeting of Divisional Railway Users’ Consultative Committee (DRUCC) of Thiruvananthapuram Division for the year 2012, held at the  Divisional Railway Manager’s office here on Thursday. He informed the members that the bi-weekly AC Duronto Express between Thiruvananthapuram Central to Chennai Central will be flagged off  from here on December 16 evening.

 The recent achievements of the division such as significant improvement in  punctuality, customer-assisted amenities at stations, elaborate arrangements made for Sabarimala season, introduction of MEMU services in Ernakulam-Kollam section both via Alappuzha and Kottayam, introduction of Passenger 12 Reservation system counters at remote locations etc were also brought into the notice of commuters.
