An essay writing competition for students of graduate and post graduate courses will be organised by Under the Greenwood Tree English Club at the Kerala Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi, Thycaud on December 16. Students who are currently doing their degree or post graduation are eligible to participate. Participants should be present at the venue by 10am. Under the Greenwood Tree is a literary club functioning in the city since 2007. Author and academician B Hridayakumari serves as its president and K P Susheelan, former principal of University Institute of Technology is the Vice President. It aims to promote the study of language and literature, literary creativity and conducts lectures, discussions, workshops etc to this end.
