An inmate of Asha Bhavan, daycare centre for aged women under the Social Security Mission, died at the Medical College Hospital here on Saturday.
Komalam, who is in her late forties, was suffering from various ailments such as hypertension, diabetes and mental illness. She was being treated at the Mental Hospital, Peroorkada, from November 23.
According to M S Jaya, Social Welfare director, Komalam was suffering from bed sore, diabetes and other aliments. “The reason for the death will be confirmed after postmortem on Saturday afternoon,” she said.
