Quiz on ‘Parliamentary Democracy’

The Institute of Parliamentary Affairs is organising a quiz contest for high school and higher secondary students on ‘parliamentary democracy’.

The contest will be held in two rounds. The first round will be held in January second week in Thiruvananthapuram (south zone), Ernakulam (central zone) and Kozhikode (north zone).

 Candidates from Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha and Pathanamthitta districts can attend the contest in Thiruvananthapuram.

 The contest for candidates of Idukki, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Palakkad will be held in Ernakulam.

 Candidates of Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasargod can attend the contest in Kozhikode.  Schools can send one team comprising two members for the first round which consists of a written examination. Teams which qualify the first round can attend the second round to be held here.

  Teams which come first and second will get certificates and Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 cash awards respectively.

  Principals of interested schools can submit applications to attend the programme. e-mail registration is also available. The last date  for submitting applications is January 5.
