BJP district committee on Friday staged a dharna against the dumping of waste on the Bypass at Attakulangara near Killippalam.
Wearing masks, the BJP workers staged a dharna in protest against the failure of the City Corporation in finding an alternative site to dump waste for the past one year. District president Karamana Jayan inaugurated the dharna. Speaking on the occasion he said the Corporation and the State Govt had been subjecting the city dwellers to fatal diseases. “If Mayor Chandrika and CM Oommen Chandy continue in their respective posts the people of the city would have to go out with wearing masks,“ he said.
