The second death anniversary of former Chief Minister K Karunakaran was observed on Sunday under K Karunukaran Foundation.
A commemoration meet was held at the Rajiv Gandhi auditorium at Indira Bhavan which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
Various Congress leaders including KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala who worked with the ‘leader’ remembered the veteran Congress leader and his organisational skills in building up the party.
Speaker G Karthikeyan, Ministers V S Sivakumar, Mayor K Chandrika, BJP leader O Rajagopal, N Peethambara Kurup MP, E T Mohammed Basheer, R Balakrishna Pillai and M M Jacob attended the function.
KPCC also organised district and block-level meets in memory of K Karunakaran.
