THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Malarvady Auditorium at Paruthippara has witnessed the wedding of six handicapped couples.
Panchayats and Social Welfare Minister M K Muneer, Transport Minister V S Sivakumar, Mayor K Chandrika and M A Vahid MLA attended the weddings, sponsored by the
Lioness Board of Dist 324E1.
At a simple ceremony, George Varghese married Chitralekha; Shijo married Mini; S Rajan tied the knot with Divya; R Vinod Kumar married Geethamol S R; Vinod married Dine Dinesh and Sivababu married Keerthana.
Each couple was given gifts and financial assistance worth ` 1.25 lakh, the Lioness Board president Abida Noohu said in a statement here.
