THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Veteran journalist and writer V B C Nair will receive the Kaladeepam Award consisting of Rs 25,000, citation and statuette for his comprehensive contribution in the field of literature while Girija Sethunath will receive the Sargasree award of Rs 15,000, citation and statuette instituted by Kalakeralam.
Asianet News Editor-in-Chief T N Gopakumar will receive a special award for comprehensive contribution in the field of television news channels. Various awards consisting of Rs 10,000, citation and statuette in the field of journalism will be shared by Deepu Ravi and P P James (Kerala Kaumudi) Anil Kurudath (Malayala Manorama) Lakhsmi Padma (India Vision) T V Prasad (Asianet News) and K V Madhu (Reporter TV). The decision of the jury, headed by writer Paul Zacharia, was announced by the jury members D Vinayachandran and Poovachal Khader.
