THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Cine actor Madhu has been selected for the P Bhaskaran Foundation award for his comprehensive contributions to film industry.

 Jury chairman Suresh Unnithan,  Foundation chairman Jayan Nair and member O S Girish told a news conference here on Monday that the Foundation’s cinema talent awards would  be given to heroine of yesteryears Sheela and Mukesh who completed 30 years in cinema.

 Prominent mediaperson Sasikumar who secured the state media award for his comprehensive contributions would be honoured at the P Bhaskaran award ceremony here on February 25.  

 The Foundation’s film award will be given to the film  ‘Melvilasam’ directed by Madav Ramdas. Debut director Salini Usha Nair  will also receive the award for her film ‘Akam’. Partheepan (Melvilasam) was selected for the best actor award.

 Swetha Menon is the best actress.  Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma is the lyricist. M G Sreekumar is the best music director.

Sudeepkumar and Rajalakshmi were selected as best singers.  Media awards will be given to G Sekharan Nair, Sujith Nair,  Anil Banerjee,  R Sreekandan Nair , Veena George, Sajeev Pazhoor, Nana Krishnankutty and Ratheesh.
