THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The final day of the CPM state conference also witnessed poignant moments when Sarojini Balanandan burst into tears and left the venue in a huff after she was omitted from the party state committee.
The party officialspeak is that Sarojini, the wife of E Balanandan, was omitted this time due to her poor health.
But Sarojini later told the media that she was shocked by the decision. She denied that she was in poor health and said people much older than her were active in the party. Pinarayi should have given me a hint, she said.
