THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BSNL Thiruvananthapuram Telecom district has come up with new plans to woo land phone users. A press statement here said that now is the right time to get a broadband internet connection since new plans have been announced and speed and user limit increased for existing plans.  The BSNL officials would come knocking at your doors once you opt for a plan, it said. New plans where broadband could be used unlimited and where 512 kbps to 8 mbps speed is offered are available.

Twenty-per cent discount has been offered for government employees and pensioners in its plan charge.  Besides, those opting for broadband connection before March 31 would have the installation charge of ` 250 and a mobile prepaid connection, both free.  Persons opting for land connection with broadband would get the installation charge of Rs 500 off.  For new broadband or phone connection, call  the toll-free number 18004250250 or 0471-2324455. For SMS registration, BB<SPACE> Land phone number (including STD code) for broadband connection and LL<SPACE>STD CODE for new connection to 54141. Once applied, BSNL officials would come to the person’s place and furnish details on the plans.
