THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Traders in the Chalai market are geared up to chip in their might so as to strengthen the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES)-led agitation against the foray of foreign multinational companies into the country. Many are on their way to participate in the Parliament march on February 22, coinciding with the hartal being organised in the State.

Chalai-Kothuval Bazaar unit general secretary M Mohammed Sideeque said that teams of traders led by Muhabat Shah (Chalai main unit), Kalady Aji (Kothuval Bazaar), V L Suresh (Aryasala) and Salim (Power House) have already started by train and a few more would fly to Delhi to take part in the march.

He also said that traders under the unit who are staying back would stage a sit-in in front of the Palayam Martyr’s Column here from 10 am on Wednesday, to highlight the demands of  KVVES.
