THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Museum Police have registered cases against five 10th standard students of Vidyadhiraja Vidyamandir HSS, Vellayambalam, for attacking a plus-two student. Arjun, the plus-two student, fractured his jaw following the attack, which allegedly took place on February 22.

According to the police, the plus-two students who were returning after their practical examination and the 10th standard students clashed in front of the school gate.The street brawl erupted around 11.30 am and continued till they reached Edapazhanji.

Meanwhile, five students cornered Arjun and slammed a helmet on his jaw, fracturing it. The student is being treated in a private hospital. Sukumaran Nair, the head master of the school, said that the school had nothing to do with the attack as it took place outside the school campus.

He also said that school cannot take action against the 10th standard students as the SSLC examinations are slated to begin in March. But the Museum police registered cases against five students on the basis of a complaint lodged by the parents of the injured student.
