THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The golden jubilee celebrations of the Malankara Social Service Society (MSSS) concluded here on Monday.
Union Minister K C Venugopal, while inaugurating the Srothas Development Mission, said that the Malankara Catholic Church has been carrying out development activities that are the need of the hour. ‘’Not just spiritual life, the church has been helping in social welfare activities too,’’ he said.
K Muraleedharan MLA inaugurated the ‘Gramasrothas’. Mayor K Chandrika requested the help of the Malankara Service Society along with the citizens to treat waste at source. MSSS director Fr John Vilayil, organising secretary Rajan M Karakkattil, ancillary bishop Samuel Mar Iraneos and Federal Bank zonal head V R Madhavakumar also spoke on the occasion.
