THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State Horticultural Mission has invited applications from farmers interested in precision and protection farming, under the Rashtreeya Krishi Vikas Yojana.

Cultivation of vegetables and banana using the technology of precision farming will get a financial aid of Rs 40,000 per hectare and unit for development of planting materials on a cluster basis will get Rs 4 lakh.

A financial aid of Rs 425 per sq mt will be given for the construction of a greenhouse for cut-flower cultivation and Rs 4 lakh for the unit that will develop planting materials for vegetables.

The applications should be sent to Mission Director, State Horticultural Mission - Kerala, University P O, Palayam, Thiruvananthapuram - 695034 on or before January 23. For more details, contact 0471-2330857.
