It was reported that the three accused rode to Prajith’s home and chopped his hand. Nobody else was present at the home at that time.

The police said that Rajkumar, alias Tony, the neighbour of Assary, gave the ‘quotation’ to attack Prajith following rivalry towards the latter’s  father.

Jagadeesh was arrested from a bar in the city, which led to Prasanth’s arrest. Both arrested were produced in court.

Police said that Rajkumar was undergoing training in police camp.

Harassment Case

The police are on an intensive combing for the accused who sexually harassed a twelve-year- girl residing on Raj Bhavan Staff Quarters here.

Benser, hailing from a coastal area, is the prime suspect in the case. The police said that Benser, the step-father of the girl, has been sexually harassing her for past few years. But it was only a few days back that the incident came to light while teachers developed some doubts about the girl’s behaviour, following which the police registered a case.

Police suspect two others also, Binu and Vinod, both friends of Benser, to have role in harrassing the girl.  ‘’We are on a vigorous search focusing on the coastal areas like Pallithura and Poonthura since Benser is hailing from the coastal area,” said police.
