THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Unit of the National Alliance for Fundamental Right to Education, Janamunnettam would conduct a state-level convention demanding the formation of a child rights commission on January 23.

The convention would be inaugurated by B R P Bhaskar.

RIGHTS director V B Ajayakumar and Thozhamai director Devaneyan would speak on the status of children in Kerala and also on the need for protecting child rights.

A panel discussion on the possibilities and limitations of the Child Rights Commission would have Loyola extension service rector Joy James, Sonia George of SEWA, Human Rights Law Network director

Advocate Sandhya Raju, Advocate Preetha and Rajendra Prasad speak on the topic.

The venue of the convention would be Hotel Regency at Manjalikkulam Road and the time is 9.30 a m.
