THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The integrated farming development project ‘Niravu’ would be expanded to all Assembly constituencies, said Agriculture Minister K P Mohanan.

He was delivering the inaugural address at the two-day agriculture seminar and Farmers Meet organised by the T’Puram Doordarshan Kendra at Vyloppilly Samskrithi Bhavan. The minister hoped that the recommendations from the discussions at the meet would help Kerala to top in coconut production. Two seminars on marketing of vegetables and dairy farming were held as part of the meet.

Former Agriculture Director R Haley said  collaboration between different departments, popularisation of native dwarf breeds of cattle and enhancing the functioning of green corps in schools were essential.
