THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The services of ‘108’ ambulances will be made available for the Attukal Pongala. Ten ambulances with most-modern facilities will be stationed in various parts of the city to meet any emergency. Ambulances will be parked at East Fort, Thampanoor Railway Station, PRS-Killipalam, Manacaud-Attukal, Enchakkal Bypass, Statue/GPO Junction and Palayam. These are apart from the three ambulances stationed on the Attukal temple premises.

Each ambulance will be equipped with medicines, first aid facilities and oxygen cylinders, and will be manned by two medical technicians. Arrangements have also been made to keep doctors of the General Hospital on call. Public can call ‘108’ in case of any emergency.
