THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 856th branch of the Federal Bank was inaugurated at Kothuval Street in Chalai, on March 10. In Kerala, the bulk-note acceptor facility will be introduced for the first time in the Chalai branch.

The branch was inaugurated by NI Education Trust chairman and NI University Chancellor A P Majeed Khan at a function presided over by Federal Bank zonal head V R Madhavakumar.  The ATM counter was inaugurated by Additional Director-General of Police(Crimes) Vinson M Paul and the safe deposit locker was inaugurated by PRS Hospital CEO R Murugan.

Chalai Imam Moosa Moulavi offered felicitation. TO Antony, Palayam branch manager and Rema Devi, senior manager, also spoke on the occasion.
