THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Massive irregularities were detected in many ration shops and Civil Supplies depots in the district in the raid carried out by the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Bureau (VACB) on Tuesday.

 In the Civil Supplies depot at Chalai 27 quintals of boiled rice were found in excess and there was a shortage of 26 quintals of wheat. A shortage of 55 quintals of boiled rice and an excess of 100 quintals of raw rice was detected at Kilimanoor. There was also a shortage of 115 quintals of wheat. The raid was a part of the state-wide one carried out by the VACB officials on Tuesday.
