THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ayurveda college students and PG doctors under the banner of the Council for Ayurveda Students in Kerala (CASK) took out a march to the Secretariat in protest against the alleged move to raise the retirement age of ayurveda college teachers to 60 years.

The CASK, in a release here on Tuesday, said that the discussions in this regard were being carried at a time when around 1,000 PG doctors and 5,000 doctors are waiting without jobs. The government is also turning a blind eye to the PSC list in this regard.

Opposition deputy leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan inaugurated the dharna. Mayor K Chandrika, SFI state secretary P Biju and president Sumesh spoke.
