Panel to study problems of Malabar Devaswom staff

Devaswom Minister V S Sivakumar said that a commission would be appointed to conduct a study and submit a report on the problems of employees of the Malabar Devaswom Board.

He told representatives of employees of the Malabar Devaswom Board at a meeting  here that a timely revision is required of rules and criteria for appointment, salary scale, probation, promotion, leave, responsibilities, discipline etc.

He said steps would be taken to ensure  the disbursement of monthly salary of  employees without fail.

Steps would also be initiated to increase the pension of the employees.

A detailed study would be made to enhance the grade of the temples.  Devaswom Dept Additional Secretary K C  Vijaykumar, Commissioner K Chandran, Deputy Commissioner P Sreedharan, Staff Union(INTUC) president K Surendran, Employees Congress representative V Madhusoodhanan Kadampuzha, Malabar Temple Employees Association chairman K C Radhakrishnan, A Venugopal of Employees Union (CITU), Pensioners Association secretary K M Vishnu Nambeesan attended the meeting.
